The Nke Dnk Low “University Blue” is yet another collegiate-inspired colorway of the retro basketball and lifestyle shoe by Nke. Originating as part of Nke’s “Be True to Your School” collection dedicated to some of the most successful college basketball programs of the mid-80s, the Dnk will forever be tied to basketball, especially when Nke imagines the venerable shoe in colorways like the “University Blue.” While not an official “UNC” colorway, the look draws favorably from the team uniform colors of the North Carolina Tar Heels. The perforated toe, mid-panel, collar, and heel feature a white leather construction. University Blue leather can be found on the forefoot, eyelets, heel, and branding. The two-tone color block is reminiscent of the Dnk’s original college basketball-inspired colorways. A white “Nke” logo is embroidered onto the heel and light blue “Nke” and insignias appear on the white nylon tongue tag. A cream colored rubber midsole and University Blue outsole round out the look.
